paragliding at Mount Olympus, the high plateau of Kalipefki – John Ellison visited Olympic Wings just after the paragliding world cup in Drama in June 2010

Our canoeing trip starts just at Tembi Valley in the calm waters of the river Pinios and ends at the beach, where the river flows into the Aegean Sea. Impressive views towards the gorge of Tembi and the Aegean Sea open up as you paddle along the river. The canoes we use are very stable and safe as they are inflatable 2-seater canoes, of course we provide safety jackets and helmets in all sizes.

You can see a lot of animals and wild flowers in the fascinating river delta. You will follow the course of the river winding its way towards the sea where you will have the chance of a refreshing swim.

One of the Paragliding World Cup events was held in Drama in Greece from 19.06. to 26.06.2010. Drama is located in northern Greece at the foot of the mountain Falakro, which is a well-known ski centre in the winter.

Drama is the most famous of the flying sites included in the Flying Safari Northern Greece, which Olympic Wings organizes for groups of pilots, flying clubs and schools. During this safari the pilots fly in different interesting areas of Northern Greece: Edessa, Mount Olympus, Nymphaion are on the schedule of the two weeks program.
